I love books that lie flat. You can write on them and not worry that they'll close back on the page where your ink is still wet :)
wow, nice work Mona... love it!!!
these are so nice miss mona!
It looks really good Mona! Love the pink and red notebook, looks oriental.
| OMG. These are absolutely gorgeous Mona! I wish I had taken the class with you.
You should have no problem selling these babies and raising funds for your next Boracay trip.

Kathy, I'll make some - could you put them in your Etsy shop? Discuss ko sa yo via email.
Thanks Ging, Gene. When I work on these things it's like meditating! I forget about the stormy days.
You're really serious with what your doing. Great! I dropped by at Craftsworld one time. They have a lot of interesting stuff. What struck me most was that they sell pyrographic pens. That's a pen-like instrument used to burn images on wood. I have not done anything like it but it seems interesting. Keep me posted when you have something new. You bookbinding is "nakakainggit".
Hi, Punay, nagulat ka ano? Ako rin. Ang ganda ng site mo. Bibisitahin kita lagi.
Hi TAO, glad to know you've received your book :)
The Japanese treat work as some kind of spirituality. You said "meditating". Yes, when they work it is like being in a state of prayer, as in Zen. Keep up the good work, it's good for the mind.
I made 6 smaller, pocket sized books. One I gave to May Zayco (not pictured), these 5 were raffled off at the first anniversary of FPN Philippines. The olive/orange book went to Johannes Sia, the purple/pink book went to Leigh Reyes, the starry black/silver book went to Inigo de Paula, the black paisley/red went to Caloy Abad Santos, while the Wedgwood-colored Hawaiian shirt-print book went to Butch Palma.
Dragon-trimmed Nakaya Tame-nuri belong to Leigh Reyes and Carl Cunanan.

Hmmm, the Montblancs make my humble book look very sophisticated!
Hahaha, I love the faux Rhodia effect :D
The colored bits are silk ribbon included in the abaca handmade paper. This is indoor fluorescent lighting without flash, to show the detail.
